Community -Led Monitoring (CLM)

Dask trains peer monitors-primarily  PWDs to conduct facility-level assesments in heath centres  using the I-Monitor ATOM tool. Monitors report issues like inaccessible ramps or stockouts of assistive devices, while commending strengths such as disability-friendly staff training. Monthly reports feed into county health dashboards, triggering joint advocacy with Amref(primary Recipient), CMMB(sub-Recipient), AND DASK as the county network lead.

Elaboration :Training equips 50+ monitors with mobile apps  for real time data capture; dashboard aggregate fundings for quarterly scorecards shared with Machakos Health Department.

Organizational Development & System Strengthening

DASK builds capacity for 20+ Community -Based Organizations (CBOs) via tailored workshops on governance, financial management, strategic planning and program alignment to their mandates. This ensures CBOs deliver disability-inclusive community services like peer support groups. Supported by Amref(PR), CMMB(SR) with DASK as network anchor.

Elaboration: 6- month cycles include baseline audits, board training toolkits, and post-training membership, CBOs co-design programs linking to DASK’s ecosystem goals.

Youth & Women with Disabilities Empowerment (Pamoja4Change)

Funded by   KCDF grant, this equips 300+ youth and women with disabilities via skills, training (entrepreneurship, digital literacy), micro-grants, and mentorship hubs.

Elaboration: Participants form saving groups; DASK link them to markets via corporate partnerships; bi-annual impact evaluations track income gains.

SRHR Program for youth &Girls with Disability

DASK runs Sexual Reproductive Health &Rights clinics and peer education in Machakos schools/Villages, providing counselling, contraceptives, and disability-sensitive services. Targets 500+girls / youth annually.

Elaboration: Mobile clinics visits slums; peer educators use  pictorial tools, data informs.

Court Users Committee Membership

DASK holds seats on Machakos high court, Lower court, children court, Kithimani Wamuyu and Kagundo law court committees  members advocate for disability-friendly procedures like sign- language  interpreters.

Elaboration: Quarterly meetings review cases; DASK trains court staff and submits amicus briefs.

Counselling Services

Group/Individual Sessions for PWDs and parents on mental health, family dynamics, and life skills;200+ beneficiaries yearly via drop-in centers.

Policy Dialogues & Accessibility Audits

eFacilitates roundtables with counties /corporates, conducts audits (e.g. ramps, braille signage) and quides retrofits for 10+ business annuals.

 Elaboration: Audits use WHO standards; follow-up includes compliance certification.

Rescue &Rehabilitation

 Emergency response rescues PWDs from neglect /abuse; supports hospital rehab and home-based care (physiotherapy, aids) for 50 severe.

Elaboration:  Multi-agency teams (DASK, Policy, Hospitals); post rescue tracking ensures reintegration.
